Lin Que inherited a dilapidated apartment, and just as he couldn't afford utility bills and was on the verge of bankruptcy, he was accidentally bound to the Wicked Landlord System. Letting his imagination run wild, he developed a bunch of bizarre fees: public sanitation fees, clothesline occupation fees, shared kitchen QR code billing fees, and air conditioner remote control wear and tear fees, forcefully turning the shabby apartment into an internet-famous check-in spot. Over-exploited workers scarred by rental scams, down-and-out workplace elites, full-time exam preppers, and broke little bloggers moved in one after another. From cursing him as a wicked capitalist at first, to everyone eventually being tamed into complete obedience and raving about him collectively, the chaotic apartment daily life is both absurd and addictive.
