Liu Lan, the chairperson of the Liu Group, disguised herself and went to the sales department to inspect her future daughter-in-law, Zhang Wei. She was judged by her appearance, insulted and beaten in all sorts of ways, and locked in a sundry room by the security captain Gao Meng to force her to sign a confession letter. Through investigating black market surveillance and Chen Xi's evidence, Liu Lan confirmed all of Zhang Wei's crimes, such as stealing ninety million in toads for gambling, having an affair with Gao Meng for nine years, and faking a pregnancy in an attempt to muddle through. After handing the evidence over to the legal department to be secured, she transferred her to the police. Liu Chenyu woke up to the realization and knelt down to admit his mistake. Liu Lan promoted Chen Xi to manager and took her in as her goddaughter.
