Sanshou world champion Cheng Ye and his wife Lin Zhiyao gradually developed a rift due to differences in business philosophy. Lin Zhiyao insisted on investing their savings to start businesses back-to-back, ranging from ten simultaneously opened traditional Chinese medicine milk tea shops to an unattended tavern, and then to a high-end combat gym, all of which ended in failure, and she also privately funded her maiden family with large sums of money, ultimately leading to the breakdown of their marriage. After the divorce, Cheng Ye returned to his professional field, and the two each embarked on different life trajectories.
