Chen Wang Ventures Into the Mountains - Season 2
In every village, there are one or two "village guardians" who are often simple-minded or foolish, yet kind-hearted. The older generation often says that village guardians come to the human world to undergo bitter spiritual cultivation, averting disasters and blocking hardships for the village, with misfortune falling upon themselves. After Chen Wang, a modern-day corporate drone, died suddenly from overwork, his soul traveled back to the 1980s and possessed the newly deceased foolish village guardian in Chenjia Village. Not only is his home bare with four walls, but he also has a beautiful and virtuous mute wife and a soft, cute younger sister to take care of. This time, working odd jobs is simply impossible, and there is nowhere for him to work anyway. Chen Wang just wants to strive and make a good life in this simple era.
