Technology tycoon Gu Heng lived incognito for twenty years as a matrilocal son-in-law, toiling to support Lin Yalan's family. His old flame Du Wenbo returned disguised as a tycoon, and their son Gu An acknowledged this "real father". The Lin family collectively turned against Gu Heng and kicked him out. Gu Heng restarted his career, and Qiheng Technology, which he single-handedly built, went public with a valuation of tens of billions. Du Wenbo turned out to be a fraudster, absconding with all the Lin family's savings and leaving them with huge debts. Gu An woke up to reality and repented, and Gu Heng stepped in to assist with protecting their rights, but refused to reconcile. Everyone let go of their pain and moved forward with their lives.
