In an ancient mountain village, the Su family successively gives birth to six sons, finally welcoming their only little daughter, Su Tang (Tangbao). The little girl brings her own good fortune; after her birth, the family's fortunes turn around, with fish, shrimp, and wild pheasants actively delivering themselves to the door. The whole family holds Tangbao in the palms of their hands to cherish her. Facing a calculating second sister-in-law and various gossip in the village, Tangbao uses a child's wisdom to resolve conflicts. The family's days are growing more prosperous, but they encounter severe crises such as a locust plague, fierce beasts, and human traffickers. Tangbao and her family join hands to tide over the difficulties together. They also befriend a fallen young nobleman, witness the reunion of family members, and step by step, an ordinary farming family lives a prosperous and happy life with a thriving population.
