Su Suisui, a Ph.D. in agricultural sciences, accidentally time-travels and is exiled to the barren island of Yazhou due to her family's involvement. Using her knowledge of agronomy, forestry, and physics, she reclaims wasteland, produces salt, and builds water conservancy projects, leading the exiled people to live and work in peace and contentment. Along the way, she meets Yun Su, a wrongly accused prince. The two join forces to develop the island while righting wrongs, uniting with ambitious individuals to purge corrupt officials, implementing new policies that benefit the people, and safeguarding public stability. Putting the people's livelihood at the core to pacify a turbulent world, Yun Su eventually ascends the throne, and Su Suisui becomes the founding empress with the common people in her heart, hand in hand creating a prosperous and peaceful era.
