Conscience Snail Rice Noodles
An eight-year-old snail rice noodle shop beneath an office building has been cutting corners by taking advantage of the company's designated meal subsidy program. It dilutes seasoning packets with water and passes them off as bone broth, drastically reduces the toppings, and even publicly humiliates an intern when customers complain. Lu Yuan, an administrative manager, goes undercover to gather evidence and happens to meet Qin Amei, a shop owner from Liuzhou. Every day, she spends six full hours simmering authentic snail and pork bone broth, using fresh, quality ingredients in her open kitchen. Her noodles are delicious and leave customers feeling good. The old shop refuses to admit its mistakes even as its business declines, resorting to spoiled ingredients and malicious reports to undermine its competitor. When a complete chain of evidence is presented, the unscrupulous shop is investigated and punished by regulators.
