Lin Zhaoye, a young man returning to his hometown, comes back to Qingling Village to start a business, running an ecological vegetable garden and creating social media content about rural life and agriculture. His neighbor, Qiu Guizhi, illegally occupies collective land to build a sheep pen, and her flock repeatedly destroys his vegetable garden. Lin Zhaoye first tries to resolve the dispute through communication and negotiation, while preserving photographic, video, and surveillance evidence and reporting the matter to the village authorities. Using his knowledge of botany, he plants mountain agastache to create a natural barrier with its strong scent, keeping the sheep away. The agastache garden also becomes a setting for his short videos. After the village committee and relevant authorities intervene, the sheep pen is brought into legal compliance, and Lin receives reasonable compensation. Later, a cultural tourism company takes an interest in the hillside meadow, and its project staff attempt to pressure him into abandoning his land contract for an unfairly low price.
