Qiu Yun, the head chamber maid of the Duke's Mansion, accidentally dies and transmigrates into the body of Jiang Yun, an intern nanny in the debt-ridden and soon-to-be-fired Jiang family. Everyone thinks she is shallow and only wants to climb social ladders, little knowing that she is well-versed in etiquette, rules, ledger management, interpersonal relations, and inner-courtyard maneuvering. Qiu Yun proves her innocence amidst a framed theft scandal, resolves crises through bathroom management, family banquet tea-serving, and jewelry theft incidents, establishes her footing in Mingyue Tower, and helps Jiang Chuling, the eldest young miss who has long been suppressed by the second branch. Instead of hoping to marry into a wealthy family for a counter-attack, she uses orthodox rules to break through hypocritical bad habits and reorganizes the domestic affairs of the Jiang family's primary branch.
