Lin Ye, a modern-day overworked employee, suddenly dies from overwork and wakes up to find himself transported to a Kingdom of Women where there are no men. Women hold power, everyone practices martial arts, and men supposedly became extinct a thousand years ago. The ancestral rules decree that any man who appears in the world must be regarded as a demon who will bring down the kingdom and be executed by slow slicing. But just as Lin Ye is about to lose his head, a series of strange events unfolds. The jade seal of the nation's destiny, dormant for years, awakens because of him. The poison in the sacred Mother-and-Child River dissipates after he touches it. Even on an ancient wall sealed for a thousand years, an inscription appears that could overturn the entire dynasty: "Men are not demons, but the very foundation of the nation's destiny."
