In a coastal fishing village in the 1980s, poor bachelor Zhou Dachu rescues a little girl named Zhuzhu on a stormy night. Not only is Zhuzhu sensible and well-behaved, but she also possesses a magical little green turtle that finds treasures. Cherished by the Zhou family, she transforms into a lucky star, bringing the family a continuous harvest of premium seafood. Dachu subsequently marries the sharp and capable Su Qiuyue. Together, the couple uses both muscle and brains to repeatedly slap toxic relatives and corrupt village chiefs in the face, establishing a seafood processing plant. Eventually, Dachu saves the entire village during a typhoon and builds an even larger seafood enterprise, leading the family to a happy life.
