In the Great Zhou Dynasty, the path between heaven and earth is severed, and demons and evil spirits run rampant. Quasi-Demon Emperor Wei Wuyou is ambushed during his heavenly tribulation, suffering heavy injuries and falling down to the remote Lingxiu Mountain. Intending to consume the mist and drink the dew while healing in obscurity, he finds a mountain spirit too noisy, smashes it to pieces with a single claw, and casually saves the people of Dashizhu Village. However, the simple villagers enshrine him as a deity, building a temple and molding a golden body for him. Wei Wuyou discovers that the incense offerings of mortals can actually repair the wounds to his Great Dao. Thus, a two-way journey toward each other between a deity and mortals begins. Can they carve out a carefree, uninhibited pure land where nothing is forbidden amidst this troubled world?
