Spirit Eyes Illuminate Fate
In Republican-era Huizhou, Mu Lingbai, the young master of the Fortune Creation Pawnshop, returns after spending ten years blindfolded to nurture his spirit eyes. Armed with the Fortune Creation Ledger and the Clear Deed Brush, he verifies contracts and collects debts. He first settles the Song family's borrowed-longevity debt and reclaims the spirit eyes stolen by Pei Jingqiu. He then joins forces with He Xiaochuan to investigate the long-standing mystery surrounding the disappearance of his grandfather, Mu Baopu. Fu Hanshan of Beiping and the Moon-Inviting Pavilion scheme using the threads of fate. He Xiaochuan dies while trying to break the life-borrowing binding formation. Mu Lingbai heads to the Moon-Inviting Pavilion to settle the accounts, saving his grandfather by choosing to 'destroy the scheme, not the people,' and reopens the Fortune Creation Pawnshop. Debts owed to the world must eventually be repaid.
