Retired teacher Lin Shuyin faces unreasonable demands from her family over her property at her 60th birthday banquet. Under pressure from family ties, she refuses to argue, instead maintaining her dignity and clear judgment while protecting herself with evidence and legal rules and making proper arrangements for her later years. After moving into a retirement home, she establishes a literary club, helping more elderly people learn to protect their assets and maintain boundaries in their lives. She grows from an aunt troubled by family affairs into an advocate for the rights of the elderly.
