In a small northeastern village in the 1980s, the orange cat Jianguo and the calico cat Cuilan form a warm little home, with their lively and lovely daughter Xiao Hua. After neighbor Grandpa Zhang passes away, the lonely tabby cat Xiao Shitou is left uncared for. The kind-hearted couple extends a helping hand, welcoming Xiao Shitou to become a member of the family. The family of four cats runs a small village grocery store in the village. Firewood, rice, oil, salt, daily trivialities, spring outings, and winter firesides, a small grocery store bears witness to ordinary daily life. Without turbulent and melodramatic conflicts, there are only neighborhood warmth and family companionship in these fireworks trivialities. Watch Xiao Hua and Xiao Shitou grow up together, and feel the simplest and most moving family happiness in the old days.
