Chu Chen resolutely quits his job paying an annual salary of 300,000 yuan and partners with his cousin, Chu Xuan, to open Chu Family Restaurant. Working from early morning until late at night, he uses his extraordinary culinary skills and strict quality standards to help the restaurant earn more than two million yuan in net profit in a single year. However, when it is time to divide the profits at the end of the year, Chu Xuan turns against him, pockets the entire fortune to buy luxury cars and mansions, and throws Chu Chen a mere 88,000 yuan. His wife also goes out of her way to humiliate Chu Chen and his family.
