Monster Noodle Shop
In Chang'an during the flourishing Tang dynasty, deep in the West Market, there is a monster noodle shop that only opens at midnight. Six-year-old little boss Kou Kou can see monsters, and relies on an ancestral iron wok to cook symptom-targeted noodles for lost monsters. Demon catcher Shen Mo, restrained by a spirit-locking ring, is forced to stay and chop firewood and tend the fire. One wants to pay off debts and leave, while the other only cares that whoever comes is a guest. A bowl of noodles resolves matters of the heart, seventeen monsters return home on New Year's Eve, and that bad night he chose to stay. Snow falls on Chang'an, the lanterns are not extinguished.
