Ming Chen transmigrates to another world, where he is born with the ability to recognize demons and sense their unfulfilled wishes. By helping demons fulfill their wishes, he earns rewards. Starting by intercepting the phoenix Bai Ge, he brings demons with him to the capital to take the imperial examinations and enters the political arena amid a chaotic age. Rising from a low-ranking local examination official to an inspector, he monopolizes the demon industry in the north and supports the Empress in establishing a nation ruled by military strength. Eventually, the Empress reigns over the world, while Ming Chen, now Duke An Guo, leisurely enjoys life with the demons in his household.
