This Time, I Won't Cover for You
At his mother-in-law's birthday banquet, Shen Chuan discovers that his wife has transferred 180,000 in workers' wages to her younger brother. Meanwhile, his brother-in-law fraudulently sold the factory under an assumed name and accepted a 20,000 deposit, with both sums turning entirely into his mother-in-law's new car. Faced with the transfer contract handed over by his wife, he refuses to sign on the spot. By issuing back wages, exposing the fake authorization, and recovering the arrears, Shen Chuan guards the factory step by step and sees through the deception in their five-year marriage. This time, he no longer covers for anyone else, taking responsibility solely for his own life.
