Li Xiaoning, a decoration company boss, receives a call from the village chief and returns home to take charge of the decoration of the entire village's relocation housing. To repay the villagers for their past support, she turns down outside orders, uses her own savings to carry out construction at cost price, and insists on making all accounts public. Childhood friend Linsheng kindly discourages her, but Aunt Zhang in the village misinterprets the quotation, deciding that Li Xiaoning plays favorites and charges people differently, and reports her everywhere, causing the village's decoration work to grind to a halt. Aunt Zhang stubbornly insists on finding another decoration team, and her home's water pipes burst, throwing her household into chaos. The forgiving Li Xiaoning works through the night for free to help her make emergency repairs, and Aunt Zhang has a sudden realization and comes to apologize. All the houses are completely finished, the accounts match to the very last cent, and Li Xiaoning also achieves a happy ending with Linsheng, with the clear accounts warming the hearts of everyone in the village.
