"This Taoist Priest is a Little Abnormal" tells the story of the young Taoist priest Chen Xian and his partners experiencing a series of bizarre events. Chen Xian has a casual personality and a humorous speech style; seemingly ordinary, he possesses extraordinary abilities. In an accidental experience, he gets to know Lin Xiaoman, who is enthusiastic about folklore culture, and the two embark on a journey with a talking black cat named A Cai. They successively enter an ancient ancestral hall, a mysterious floor, and an abandoned stage. In the process of exploring the truth of the events, they gradually discover that there is some connection between these seemingly independent stories. As a sealed past comes to the surface, Chen Xian also begins to re-understand his own background and past.
