Jiang He returns home to take over the noodle shop left by her father, only to encounter a regular customer pushing back a bowl of soggy noodles. Together with her mother, she identifies problems with the dough hydration, scallion oil heat control, and waiting times, and guides her assistant A Cheng to gradually retrain the workflow. The regular customer places an order for twenty people to dine in, and Jiang He insists on serving them in batches. When a mistake occurs during the scallion oil handover, she pauses to check the backup first before steadily completing the order. The income does not make the noodle shop turn around overnight, but it makes her mother believe in her again. Finally, her mother eats a bowl of noodles that is identical to the one served to the customers.
