Shen Hennian, the group founder hidden overseas, returns to China, coinciding with the engagement banquet of his eldest granddaughter, Shen Mingzhu. Shen Mingzhu values the opportunity to cling to power and wealth, publicly unwilling to acknowledge her grandfather, and even signs a declaration relinquishing care and property claims. Younger granddaughter Shen Qinghe steps forward to defend Shen Hennian.
