Auto repair master Chen Lei insists on inspecting first and repairing later, repairing parts rather than replacing assemblies, thereby offending Zhou Dafa, the boss of Hongda Auto Repair Factory who only wants to win bids at low prices and make money by replacing expensive parts. After a repair accident, Zhou Dafa shifts the blame to Chen Lei, who uses repair records and parts samples to uncover problems such as covertly swapping parts and compressing procedures. During the municipal transportation bureau's bidding, the two confront each other head-on again. Chen Lei and Luo Dagang bring out work orders, inspection data, and parts flow to expose the truth of Zhou Dafa shifting blame layer by layer after low-price bidding, ultimately safeguarding the craftsmanship and conscience of auto repairmen and winning back car owners' trust.
