After his father dies, Chen Feng, a young man from a fishing village, loses his family home to his grandmother and uncle and receives nothing but a broken boat. While out at sea, he unexpectedly rescues Xiyue, a mermaid who can sense the locations of schools of fish and helps him catch valuable seafood, gradually improving his life. Chen Feng faces a series of challenges, including wagers, perilous maritime disasters, and fierce commercial rivalries at sea. By gathering evidence, he exposes his uncle's family's scheme to falsify accounts and embezzle the family fortune, reclaiming everything that rightfully belongs to him. As Chen Feng steadily expands his business, he and Xiyue grow closer and fall in love, ultimately achieving success in both business and family life and remaining together beside the blue sea.
