Ayimu has endured a harsh fate since childhood. Her father, the tribe's chief, regards her as a sacrificial offering and forcibly sends her to a forbidden land to be sacrificed to a ferocious beast. Against all odds, she survives and instead encounters Xiao Hei, an ancient Dragon God in a weak and diminutive form. The two comfort one another and join forces to survive. With the Dragon God by her side, Ayimu gradually awakens extraordinary powers and repeatedly thwarts the schemes and persecution of her tribe. The kind-hearted Aya comes to seek refuge with them, and they support one another. The sacred mark on Ayimu is both a source of power and a curse. To break free from her fate once and for all, she and Xiao Hei embark on an adventurous journey to the land of divine artifacts, braving poisonous mists and perilous valleys as one danger after another confronts them.
