Lin Chen, a genius of the Xuantian Sect, is betrayed and ambushed by his beloved, Lin Chuyin. His Dao Soul is stolen, and all five of his martial meridians are destroyed, reducing him to a lowly servant of the outer sect, where he suffers endless humiliation and contempt. On the brink of death, he encounters the Ancient Soul Stele, which reforges his legendary immortal meridians and awakens a lost tenth-grade Sword Dao Soul. He obtains the ancestral sword of Mo Yuan and the Xuantian Sword Art. Making his name known at Servant Peak, he slays the Dao Soul prodigy Zhao Ziye on the life-and-death platform and severely wounds an elder who has half-stepped into the Heavenly Martial Realm with a single strike, earning entry into Sword Heaven Peak. While investigating the conspiracy behind the theft of his Dao Soul, he also worries about his gravely ill mother in North City. Armed with a sword capable of cleaving the heavens, he fears neither the sect's powerful authorities nor the countless enemies who stand in his way. He embarks on a long journey of cultivation, vowing to settle every betrayal and cut down every injustice in the world with his sword.
