Modern person Bai Ye wakes up after sleeping, transmigrating to become a white lion cub in the savanna. With prey scarce in the dry season, his conspicuous white fur causes him to be abandoned for the first time by the mother lion Sha Lan, and he chances upon the honey badger Tie Tou to team up and survive. Eldest brother A Lie and second brother Shi Tou retrieve Bai Ye, and the patrilinear enemy Ba Zong invades, causing Sha Lan to forsake him once more to protect her two sons. Bai Ye and Tie Tou set a trap to lure away Ba Zong and protect their family, and the five-member squad embark on the dry season migration. They face successive threats from pythons, crocodiles, hyenas, floods, and foreign lion prides. Bai Ye makes good use of the terrain to scheme, the squad each perform their duties without abandoning each other, and finally find Stone Crown Bay. Bai Ye unties the knot in his mother and son's hearts, understanding that protecting companions and surviving is a legend.
