Noodle shop owner Ran Hongmei, a widow for twelve years, has a fiery temper. Her daughter forces her to go on blind dates, where she repeatedly encounters eccentric people. Seeing an injustice, she rescues a mute little boy. The next day, the boy's grandfather comes looking for her, asking her to be his grandson's grandma.
