Lu Ming, a freshman, unlocks the Jiahao System during a torrential downpour at military training camp. By collecting emotional reactions such as shock and speechlessness from others, he becomes stronger. When the terrifying beast King Yuxiao launches a surprise attack, Lu Ming wields a wooden stick and splits open the heavens with a single sword strike, saving his fellow students and catching the attention of Elder Ye, director of the Paranormal Affairs Bureau, who recruits him directly. Using the system, Lu Ming upgrades his martial arts techniques to perfection, beats up his military instructor, and subdues the divine weapon Cold Abyss Sword. During a mission at Black Pine Ridge, he instantly kills a Martial Infant-level giant dragon despite being vastly outmatched. He deliberately pretends to have lost his talent to obtain enormous amounts of emotional energy, then subdues Xiangliu, the tenth-ranked Hydra Emperor. After consuming its blood essence, he forms a twin-headed Golden Infant. Upon arriving in the capital, Lu Ming uses his perfected sword intent to suppress ten thousand swords and shatter the pride of the old Sword Lord and other prodigies.
