The Lifeline in the Code
35-year-old programmer Lin Mo is sidelined during his company's technological overhaul, while the legacy system he has spent eight years developing faces elimination. After the new system goes live and the data collapses, CTO Shen Chong is forced to swallow his pride and ask for help. Using his old algorithms, Lin Mo saves the day. But once the client approves the system, the company turns against him and prepares to discard him now that he is no longer useful. Shen Chong plans to fire him, accusing him of keeping unauthorized code. Lin Mo strikes back by uncovering the company's financial records.
