The Prodigal Son Returns, Reborn to Gather Seafood and Enrich the Family
The incorrigible gambler Lin Dong is reborn, finding himself right at the moment when he is burdened with gambling debts, despised by his family, and forced to sign a severing-of-ties agreement to be driven out of the house. In his past life, he was obsessed with gambling, squandered the family fortune, broke the hearts of his wife and children, and ended up completely alienated, drifting alone on a deserted island for ten years, surviving by gathering seafood and tasting endless remorse. Given a second chance, Lin Dong completely cuts off his gambling addiction and resolves to make amends for his past sins. Relying on the skills he honed over ten years of gathering seafood on wild islands, he lives off the sea, catches fish and picks up shells, and earns money through honest work. He brings his wife along to work hard together, enlists a loyal childhood friend for mutual support, step by step saves up family wealth, and gradually reverses the prejudices of those around him.
