A princess of the Song Kingdom falls off a cliff and loses her memory. She is rescued by Zhao Yan, the Crown Prince of the Zhao Kingdom. After spending every day together, the two fall in love and become husband and wife. Three years later, the princess regains her memories and quietly leaves because of unresolved feelings from the past. Upon returning to her homeland, she learns that the two kingdoms have already made peace. She therefore travels to Zhao again as a princess sent to marry for peace. When they reunite, another woman is by Zhao Yan's side, and he treats her with cold distance. The princess conceals her face behind a veil as she navigates a series of incidents, including falling into the water during a spring outing and interference from Prince Liang. Eventually, Zhao Yan recognizes her and explains that his relationship with the other woman is merely a collaboration to investigate a case. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, the two finally reunite and live happily together.
