Han Ye, a young man, is betrayed by his partner Ma Dasen, who not only embezzles his hard-earned money but also blocks every path to making a living, leaving Han Ye's parents hospitalized with sudden illnesses. With nowhere else to turn, he takes a dilapidated boat into the perilous Dragon's Breath Rift, where survival is nearly impossible, and catches a top-grade blue king crab. Ma Dasen resorts to underhanded tactics, including poisoning and falsifying inspection reports, but Han Ye uses irrefutable evidence to bring him to justice. In the end, Han Ye establishes a cooperative and leads the village's fishermen in practicing scientific fishing and achieving prosperity together.
