Entrepreneur Shen Qingshan returns to his hometown to repay the villagers for helping him in his early years. He funds the construction of an irrigation canal, but Old Zhao's family demands exorbitant compensation and deliberately obstructs the project. Shen then invests in a small reservoir, finally solving the irrigation problem for the entire village. Because their own fields cannot receive water, the Zhao family repeatedly causes trouble and even conspires with a seafood trader to sabotage the village's collective businesses. In the end, everyone involved faces legal punishment. Shen Qingshan leads the villagers in developing fruit and vegetable farming, ecological aquaculture, and rural tourism, helping Wangchuan Village earn recognition as a national model for rural revitalization.
