In the seventies on an island, three-year-old orphan Fubao's parents perished at sea, and she suffered harsh treatment from the Tao family relatives, being regarded as a jinx. Her younger aunt Lin Suqin felt deep pity for her niece and, with the help of soldier Chen Weiguo, severed ties with the Tao family, taking Fubao in to raise her by her side. Lin Suqin contracted a muddy mudflat that everyone looked down upon, while Fubao possessed a special ability to sense the ocean, repeatedly warning of storms and discovering water springs and precious seafood. Together, the two overcame relatives' harassment, malicious peer competition, stolen equipment, and sabotaged water sources, attentively managing the mudflat aquaculture and pearl-harvesting leisure ground. Fubao's nature was pure and kind; in times of crisis, she saved the Tao family's cousin, touching and reforming the guilt-ridden Tao family members.
