After crossing into the world of immortal sects, Chen Ping'an gains random treasures whenever he slays demons and monsters. Over three years, despite being an ordinary mortal, he slays hundreds of evil creatures. Although he becomes gravely ill, the hundreds of spirit stones he obtains from his kills are enough to support his younger sister until she becomes an inner disciple of the immortal sect. However, after Chen Yanran joins the inner sect, she looks down on Chen Ping'an as a lowly person and wants to sever their relationship. Fortunately, the Heavenly Court chooses Chen Ping'an, summoning him to Heaven to slay immortals and Buddhas! And his very first target in Heaven is none other than the Dragon King of the North Sea!
