The Secret of the White Wedding Dress
At my best friend Luo Xue's grand wedding, I am the bridesmaid, yet I slap the bride hard twice in front of all the guests. Even more unbelievable, neither the groom nor the closest relatives on either side tries to stop me, as though they silently approve of this absurd scene. All because of a secret known only to us, and a mistake she could never possibly have made. When I raise my hand to deliver a third slap, the fear and unfamiliarity in her eyes confirm my deepest dread once and for all. I stake everything on uncovering the hidden truth.
