One Stove, One Table, Carve Out Your Own Path
Forty-six-year-old banquet head chef Zhou Chuan has worked at Jinhua Restaurant for over a decade. Just as a massive hundred-table longevity banquet is signed, boss Sun Meiqin suddenly cuts his salary, cancels his bonuses, and uses a box of missing fish maw to insinuate he stole things, humiliating him. Zhou Chuan takes off his apron and resigns on the spot. Sun Meiqin assumes the restaurant can still run fine without him, but the next day clients taste the change of chef in a single bite and cancel the hundred-table banquet right then and there. She hires an internet-famous chef at a high salary to turn things around.
