Lou Qingqing, the sole heir of a century-old incense-making family, willingly worked as a low-level incense maker to support her fiancé Lin Xu, spending a year to restore the famous incense "Floating Life". Before the appreciation exhibition, however, her work was stolen by director Bai Man. To cling to resources, Lin Xu falsely accused her of taking credit and jealousy, demoting her to the waste warehouse. But little do they know that "Floating Life" is only initially blended and lacks scent-fixation; once ignited, it inevitably turns from refined to foul. At the exhibition, Bai Man makes a public fool of herself, and Lin Xu's partnership falls through. Lou Qingqing returns as the orthodox head in power, unleashing the lost cold-steeped hanging incense technique to expose the scam and ruin the traitors.
