In the sixth year of Tiance, Qinghe County's tax payments for nearly three years unexpectedly exceeded those of an entire prefecture. Emperor Li Zhengyang, in great fury, concluded that County Magistrate Su Qinghe was extorting the people through heavy taxes and harsh levies. He took Minister of Revenue Gao Shijie on an undercover trip, preparing to catch him in the act. However, upon arriving in Qinghe County, the concrete roads were as smooth as mirrors, the brick and tile houses were neat and beautiful, and there was not a single beggar on the street. Even more absurdly, County Magistrate Su Qinghe (a member of the time-traveling army) actually used glass cups to brew tea, used refined salt to roast meat, and the streets were filled with unheard-of, rare objects.
