On a stormy day, Grandma Shufen picks up her four-year-old grandson, Xiaoyu, from kindergarten. When his gold lock pendant falls into a storm drain, Grandma finds it too troublesome to retrieve and takes him home instead. After receiving a call from her dance group, she lies to Xiaoyu, saying she's going out to retrieve his pendant, but actually goes dancing. Worried that Grandma might get soaked in the rain, Xiaoyu puts on his raincoat, grabs a black umbrella, and heads out alone to bring her one. Tragically, he falls into the storm drain. When his mother, Su Qing, discovers that nobody appears on the surveillance footage, she checks the door lock records and immediately calls the police. His father, Zhou Lei, climbs down into the drain and rescues Xiaoyu from a depth of fourteen meters. When the child wakes up, he says only one thing: 'I don't want Grandma.'
