New Life in a Broken House: I Build in the Countryside
Yu Peize, an architect from the provincial capital, is framed and saddled with enormous debts, forcing him to return in disgrace to the dilapidated house his grandmother left him in the countryside. With not a penny to his name, he takes shelter at the home of Lin Chunxia, a fiery-tempered homestay owner, and starts repaying his debts by carrying bricks. Facing demolition traps set by property developer He Shicheng and a siege by powerful investors, he insists on restoring old buildings to their original appearance, wielding his blueprints as a weapon to protect a century-old village. As profit clashes with nostalgia, Yu Peize joins forces with Chunxia and the villagers to fight back, determined to forge a path toward rural revitalization through preservation-minded development. A comeback story about home, dignity, and love unfolds with fiery determination in Qingxi Village.
