Zhao Qiang, a retired chef, has spent years helping his son's family with household chores, yet he receives neither understanding nor respect for his efforts. Disheartened, he decides to move back to his old home and open a small restaurant to support himself independently. Without the care of an elder, his son's little family soon encounters one problem after another. Zhao Minghui even passes off his father's culinary skills as his own to take on orders, setting off a series of troubles. Through repeated clashes and conflicts, the family gradually learns to appreciate everything Zhao Qiang has done for them. Zhao Qiang stands firm in maintaining healthy boundaries with his family and refuses to keep giving without limits. He lets go of the endless household responsibilities and sets off on a journey of his own with his friends, showing that older people deserve to have lives of their own, too.
