Chen Mo, an outstanding grassroots behind-the-scenes operator, partnered with his childhood friend Zhao Lei to do live streaming and e-commerce, with both agreeing in advance to a 50-50 split of the profits. From the account's launch to its blowout popularity, all work was solely undertaken by Chen Mo, who single-handedly propelled Zhao Lei to become a popular live-streaming host, yielding profits as high as 5 million in half a year. Once fame and fortune were in hand, Zhao Lei turned hostile and broke his promise, giving Chen Mo only 10,000 in dividends and two boxes of supplies.
