A conflict erupts among coworkers who haul cement together over how their wages are divided. Unhappy with the foreman's distribution method, several workers persuade their companions to split off and work independently. They repeatedly fail to find jobs and even get cheated and suffer losses at unscrupulous construction sites. By the time they return to ask for help, the foreman has already been promoted and established himself. Bearing grudges, they keep putting obstacles in his way. Facing pressure from all sides, the male lead remains composed, overcomes one crisis after another, and pushes forward with everything he has toward a major project.
