In the Greater Khingan Mountains in 1980, an elite special forces instructor transmigrates into the body of Huo Zheng, a notorious good-for-nothing. Framed for stealing grain right from the start, he is driven into the deadly Valley of the Dead. Meanwhile, a local tyrant sets his sights on a beautiful educated youth, and the entire village faces starvation. Just when everyone assumes Huo Zheng has perished without a trace, he returns through the snow carrying a black bear's meat on his shoulder and a sable pelt in his hand! This time, he will take on the local bullies single-handedly in the frozen wilderness, protect his wife and guard their food. He doesn't just intend to survive—he intends to become the king of these ancient forests.
