Barren Year Little Maiya, Leading the Whole Village to Eat Full Rice
In a barren year, four-year-old Shen Maiya couldn't even get a single bite of full food. During a trip up the mountain to dig wild vegetables, she accidentally time-travels to modern times, seeing rice piled high on shelves and sweet bread she had never eaten before. Thinking of her starving family, she carries a small back basket, travels back and forth between ancient and modern times, trades wild vegetables and her grandparents' craftsmanship for food, and then brings seeds back to the village. From leaving a bite for grandma to eat, to leading the villagers to farm and survive, Maiya's wish grows bigger and bigger: to let the whole village eat full rice! But with the barren year not yet over, can she borrow the goodwill of two worlds to carve out a path of survival for everyone?
