A fisherman catches a pregnant white dragon carrying cubs, and imprisons and tortures it long-term to obtain golden beans, even planning to carve the white dragon alive to sell its dragon body. Kind-hearted Su Niang hears of this, sells all her family property, and gathers wealth to redeem the white dragon and bring it home. Coinciding with the white dragon's difficult labor, Su Niang invites a midwife, taking risks to guard the white dragon as it smoothly gives birth to a small dragon. Later, the village encounters a severe drought, and the white dragon ignores its physical weakness to cast spells bringing rain to save the people. After the little white dragon learns to fly, the white dragon mother and son move to the back mountain, agreeing that every full moon night, guided by the lights lit by Su Niang, they would return to the village to gather and protect this village.
